giardino di boboli | florence

Il Giardino di Boboli, The Boboli Gardens, is one of my favourite spaces in Florence when it comes to relax. Florence unfortunately hasn't got a lot of parks. Being used to Rome, Florence has turned out to be a bit of a delusion in this field. However, Boboli is a very good choice when you need to get away from the city.

The gardens are part of the enormous and beautiful Palazzo Pitti located in the Oltrarno area. Besides being a very beautiful garden, Boboli also has several great points where to get the perfect panoramic view over Florence and the surrounding landscapes.

Inside the gardens there is a beautiful orangerie and as you walk around you will meet several cats to whom this beautiful place belongs. Remember to also visit the Forte di Belvedere, which has its entrance from the garden. This is where you get one of the most beautiful views.
