this week

Wow, we are here again. Already. It's Sunday, and it's time to sum up my week. I can't believe how time flies.

Let me start with the chocolate festival in Florence, an event held in Florence every year, and which I attended for the second time on Friday.

As much as I love to look at all the sweet things (and photograph them!), I have to say that I haven't been too impressed with the quality of the chocolate, which I have tried at both festivals. That said it is a great tradition and there sure are many things to look at and try out.

You find the festival in Piazza Santa Maria Novella, just across from the central station.

Unfortunately all chocolate was well hidden behind plastic counters, which made photographing very difficult, hence the "so so" photos.

Have you noticed how little green things are slowly starting to appear around the city? I say it's just a question of very little time before spring is here. I can't wait to go to the botanical garden to shoot the first signs of bloom.

And yesterday I cleaned out my closet. As in removing 2/3 of all my clothes, leaving me with... very few things to wear. It's a good feeling though. I wasn't using them anyway.

And finally: The 365 pics project is killing me. It's been a BAD week in terms of that project. I managed to take one single photo, which I'm proud of. The rest of them were NOT good.

And that's what I don't like about the project (and why I abandoned it in 2011). I don't like to share photos, which I am not satisfied with. I usually delete that kind of photos or I keep them hidden from the world on my Mac.

With the 365 pics project that is not possible, 'cause the project only makes sense if I do take a photo each day and share it. And I am not capable of taking great pictures every day. So I'll just have to pack away my perfectionism and show you things, I would rather have kept to myself.

Not gonna happen on the blog though :-) Here is the decent one from this week. Have a wonderful Sunday!

  1. Hey! I love that you keep on posting pics every single day, even though you dont think they are perfect. Perfect things get boring. Good luck in continuing, your pictures are amazing! :)

    1. Thank you so much! This is really nice to hear. And I agree that perfect is boring (even though it's hard to remind myself of it when it comes to my photography). Thank you once again for this lovely comment :-)
