Welcome to the first post in my new series Artists and Artisans in Florence. For a presentation of the project click HERE.
Claudia Tulifero is an Italian (originally from Sardinia) art restorer and painter of traditional techniques with her own studio in the wonderful Oltrarno area in Florence. Her studio (which is also a shop) is called Artemisia, and it is located in Borgo San Jacopo. The studio is an amazing open space divided on two floors, the first floor overlooking the shop and studio downstairs.
Armed with my camera I went to see Claudia on an ordinary day of work. With her in the shop was (working on the first floor) her cartoon drawing boyfriend and their very cute dog.
Below you will find a link to an interview with Claudia, published on Sara's blog "When in Florence". I hope you will read it after seeing the photos, in order to get a complete portrait of Claudia and her work.
