Welcome back to another post in the series Artists and Artisans in Florence. This week I have a lot of photos to share with you from a great photo shoot I did with the American jewelry designer Naomi Muirhead.
Originally from Chicago, Naomi has lived in several different cities in the US and in Europe, but since 2000 she has been calling Florence her home, living and working here. Besides designing jewelry for her brand Art 925, she also teaches jewelry courses and she even does collages and paintings.
Her studio, which she shares with other jewelry designers and which also works as a jewelry school, is located in a backyard in the center of Florence with a lovely courtyard garden and lots of space.
As you can probably tell from the photos, it was a real thrill to visit Naomi and photograph her and her work. So many colors, so many little details to capture... Just the way I like it.
Below you will find a link to an interview with Naomi, published on Sara's blog "When in Florence". I hope you will read it after seeing the photos, in order to get a complete portrait of Naomi and her work.
