This post is part of a weekly series called Artists and Artisans in Florence. For a presentation of the project click HERE.
Today I am happy to present the first fashion designer in the series.
Emily Taranto-Kent is an American designer and artist originally from Boston. She has travelled and lived in several countries, and a couple of years ago she came to Florence to do a master's program in one of Florence's great fashion academies.
Since then she has been living and working here, and this week I went to visit Emily in her new home and studio located in the center of Florence.
Below you will find a link to an interview with Emily, published on Sara's blog "When in Florence". I hope you will read it after seeing the photos, in order to get a complete portrait of Emily and her work.
PS: If you happen to meet Emily in the streets of Florence, you can always recognize her, since she is usually accompanied by her two very cute little dogs Bella and Pazienza.
