this week

I know I say this almost every Sunday, but I just can't believe how fast time flies. I guess it's a good thing though, isn't it?

My week has mostly been about work. Translations and research for an article, I've been asked to write, and which I will tell you more about, as soon as it's been published. I'm really excited about this collaboration.

Apart from the portrait session of this week's Artist in Florence, and a few Instagrams and VSCOs, I haven't taken any photos. That is something REALLY rare for me. And even though it's not something I have done on purpose (I didn't make the decision to leave the camera on the desk for the whole week or something like that), it just feels so good. I needed this break, and I can already feel how motivation and inspiration are returning to me.

I did however take some pics with the VSCO cam app. I really like it. Instagram is being just a little bit neglected these days because of the new app. I do however upload all photos to Instagram, so you can see them there.

Well, let me tell you what this week was all about:

I started out by having lunch with my mum in a small restaurant, which I had wanted to try for some time. It was good. Simple and good. Had ravioli with ricotta and spinach in butter and salvia sauce. Dessert: Mascarpone creme and fresh stawberries... Will write a separate post about it.

Had coffee with a view + a much needed breeze in the middle of the heat. Here:

Crossed the station to get to Le Cascine for my two weekly runs. (My bike was stolen last week! For the second time in Florence! That's why I need the bus and the tram to go for my runs. So stupid.)

Passed these on my way home and had to take a photo.

Visited yet another pool in Florence. Great place for adults, not so good for teeny tiny children, since there were no baby pool. Pool post coming up when I have some more places to tell you about.

And here is a glimpse from a late afternoon/early evening at Le Cascine. This is where I run.

And finally: Le Cure. Where I live. Beginning to feel at home here.
