Just a few shots from a very charming cafe in Friedrichshain, where we had breakfast one morning, while waiting for the shops to open up.

Caffelatte, cappuccino and croissants. Speaking about Italian coffee in Berlin. Could someone please inform all coffee shop owners in Berlin that what they call a latte macchiato is in fact a caffelatte??? It was really amazing. I don't think I went to one single cafe without seeing this error.

Latte macchiato is a glass of milk with just a teeny tiny hint of coffee. And when I ordered a caffelatte (which wasn't even listed on the menu) for my mum, they insisted that what I wanted was in fact a latte macchiato. So in the end I gave up and just said okay, give me a latte macchiato (and got a caffelatte).

As you can see we had the company of lots of little cute birdies eating pieces of our croissants. They were quite courageous, one even sat on my leg.

Simon-Dach Strasse 9.
