I'm trying to get back on track with my this week posts. Here's to hoping :-)
This week my Ikea furniture arrived. And I managed to get rid of all the old stuff I didn't want anymore including one couch, one bed and a mattress, a chair and a chest of drawers. I also managed to assemble all the furniture without going nuts!
Not only do I now have a new and real work space (how have I even managed to not have a proper chair to sit on for all this time?), I also have a new bedroom with a clean and simple decor, only light colors and nothing superficial. Just the way I like it.
I ordered some Danish design stuff for Matilde's room to put some color in and soon I will make a gigantic enlargement of one of her black and white portraits to put on one of the walls.
Here is what it looks like a casa mia.
I have finished a lot of work assignments and the next week is going to be a little bit more free. But then again as a freelancer you never now. Schedules can change from one minute to another. That is the good (and bad) thing about working on your own. Lots of freedom, but also lots of late night working and weekend working. In my life there really ain't a distinction between weekdays and weekends. And holidays are rarely just holidays. It ain't for everyone, but it sure is for me.
I wish you a happy Sunday! Oh, and if any of you are considering giving portraits for Christmas and would like to book a session, I will be in Copenhagen in December before Christmas. Please contact me now in order to set the dates as soon as possible so we can be sure everything will be ready in time for Christmas Eve :-)
Sessions in Florence can be booked anytime from now on.
