Last Saturday I headed out with Matilde without really knowing where to go. As I reached Piazza della Libertà I suddenly remembered having passed by a park near Via Bolognese while returning from the airport.

I found myself in completely new streets as I set out to find the place and after a little walk suddenly there it was: Villa Fabbricotti. An amazing, very big and beautiful park with a little cafe and lots of lawns where you can hang out and relax. There is also a little playground for children, which is located right at the entrance from Via Stibbert.

We had the best time. Ate ice cream, laid in the grass, Matilde played at the playground and I took a few photos while she slept in the stroller.

I can't believe I have lived in Florence for almost three years without knowing about this place. Now I do! (And so do you).

Via Vittorio Emanuele II 64.
