olufs | copenhagen

It was an old friend of mine, Catrine from Shaped Emotions, who on Instagram gave me the advice to go and visit Olufs while I was in Copenhagen.

To be honest I had kind of forgotten about it, but on our last day in Copenhagen while taking a walk around Østerbro I suddenly found myself in front of the charming shop and so of course I had to try one.

Olufs sells home made Italian ice cream on sticks. If you are a follower of A DUSTY OLIVE GREEN you may already have seen something similar when I wrote about La Bottega del Gelato in Florence, but in Copenhagen I believe this is the very first and so far only shop selling this kind of ice cream.

The Danes are very much an ice cream loving people so you can understand why Olufs has immediately become a success. Beautiful, natural, homemade Italian ice cream on a stick. Who can resist that?

The ice creams come in two sizes and there are tons of different flavors. Have a look at their website to see more or stop by to see and taste for yourself.

I should mention that the shop is at the beginning of the very charming and colorful street Olufsvej and they have a few chairs and a bench outside, where you can enjoy your ice cream.
