Last night I was invited to an event at the stunning Palazzo Belfiore in the Oltrarno.

Hannah and Meg from Florence for free had organized a lovely "serata" together with and hosted by Palazzo Belfiore, which is where you should be staying if you want to experience the local Florence and live like a Tuscan princess.

Palazzo Belfiore is located in my absolute favorite part of Florence - the Oltrarno. The place has got 7 different apartments which can be booked for shorter or longer periods. The decor is absolutely stunning. Very Florence, very Tuscany, 100% classy and authentic. My photos will give you an idea of the style but to be honest they don't do the place justice. I suggest you go to their website in order to have a closer look at the apartments.

Palazzo Belfiore is located in Via dei Velluti which is full of local artisans and you find some of the very best eateries in this neighborhood.

Last night the artisans, the restaurants, the shops and several other locals took part in this amazing event. We tasted some delicious high quality chocolate from and tea from Oro Nero, the very sweet Andy from Artist for a Day made Matilde draw (and later on she would teach the rest of the guests how to draw and paint), I finally got to meet the lovely Betty Soldi who did a calligraphy class and whose shop I have been wanting to visit for such a long time (will go soon!) and there was food and wine. Of course. A lovely night in a magical place.
