So it's 2015. Welcome new year! I sure can't wait to get started.
As for the blog let's start with some new pics from Copenhagen. For quite some time I had wanted to return to the Round Tower in order to take some new photos from this amazing piece of architecture. When I had just started out on photography seven years ago I did these photos of the tower and although I really liked them back then I knew I could do better now.
So right after Christmas I went here with the only scope of taking some photos. The entrance is only 25 DKK which is a fair price to pay for the right photo location :-)
Only problem was that I only had my 50 mm with me and it sure wasn't enough. (The first time I went I knew absolutely nothing about lenses or camera settings and I shot all the photos with the zoom lens which came with my newly bought 40d - hence the horrible distortions).
Distortions have disappeared but a 35 mm. would have been nice. Next time!
Ps: On the day I went Copenhagen was covered in snow which made for a lovely view from the top of the tower over the roofs of the city. Only problem was the wooden pavement which was to say it the least dangerous. I practically ice skated around the top of the tower taking photos and doing my best not to fall (and damage the camera). Fortunately I made it down safely.
